German foreign minister inaugurates SAP Experience Center in Bengaluru

German foreign minister Johann Wadephul inaugurated a new SAP Experience Center in Bengaluru, with SAP saying the facility will showcase digital solutions and support Indo-German technology collaboration.

Bengaluru — German Foreign Minister Dr Johann Wadephul inaugurated a new SAP Experience Center at ‘s Innovation Park in Bengaluru during his two-day visit to India. The centre will allow businesses to explore solutions across SAP’s portfolio through live demonstrations and showcases.

This is the second SAP Experience Center in Bengaluru, making the city one of the few global locations to host more than one such facility. The inauguration was part of a broader programme that included discussions on artificial intelligence, regulation and the expansion of digital public infrastructure.

Dr Wadephul was accompanied by a delegation of senior German business executives. The group took part in a session led by Sindhu Gangadharan, Managing Director of SAP Labs India and Head of Customer Innovation Services at SAP. According to SAP, the discussions focused on the role of trusted partnerships in addressing opportunities and risks in the digital era.

Gangadharan said, “This visit reflects a shared commitment by India and to shape a digital future anchored in innovation and resilience. It is through such exchanges that we can accelerate innovation, strengthen digital ecosystems and unlock opportunities that benefit not only our nations but the world at large.”

Germany–India partnership in technology

Dr Wadephul said closer cooperation between the two countries could help maintain global in emerging technologies. “Germany and India are great partners in the digital era. Germany’s engineering and regulatory strengths are a perfect match with India’s vibrant innovation ecosystem and world-class talent,” he said.

The minister added that India is emerging as a dynamic technology hub and pointed to continued German investment in Bengaluru as a sign of the collaboration’s potential.

SAP said the visit highlights the growing strategic importance of technology cooperation between Germany and India. Both governments have sought to expand partnerships in areas such as digital infrastructure, regulation of artificial intelligence and sustainable technology development.

Bengaluru has become a focal point for technology investment, with several companies establishing or expanding operations in the city. The inauguration of the new Experience Center adds to this trend, reinforcing the city’s role as a global hub for enterprise technology development.
