NPCI postpones UPI MDR charges to post-Diwali after trader pushback

The National Payments Corporation of India has postponed MDR charges on UPI transactions from 15 October to after Diwali following trader pressure and PMO intervention. The 0.4 per cent fee would apply to transactions exceeding ₹2,000.
