- Financial ties or close associations with tech companies, industry bodies, or government agencies must be avoided. If unavoidable, these relationships should be disclosed to supervisors to maintain transparency.
- Employees are prohibited from taking any public or political stance on technology issues that could compromise our impartiality.
- Participation in tech demonstrations, promotional events, or company-sponsored forums must be cleared with editors and, when attended, must be as observers and not advocates.
EXTERNAL ENGAGEMENTS
Employees of Tech Observer Magazine must focus on their primary commitment to the magazine. Any freelance work, public appearances, or writings for external publications must receive supervisor approval.
- Speaking engagements or participation in industry events and conferences must be approved by the Editor.
- Employees must identify themselves as part of Tech Observer in any external publication or event.
ADVERTISERS
We maintain strict boundaries between editorial content and advertiser influence.
- Advertisers will not influence our content, analysis, or opinions.
- Sponsored content will be clearly marked to differentiate it from independent editorial pieces.
CONDUCT
Employees of Tech Observer Magazine are expected to avoid gifts or perks that could compromise objectivity.
- Expensive gifts or favours from tech companies or related entities must be reported to the Editor.
- Tech Observer employees should not seek discounts, special offers, or privileges unavailable to the general public due to their association with the magazine.
Professional and private conduct should uphold the reputation of Tech Observer Magazine. Employees must avoid situations where their behaviour could bring disrepute to the publication or the field of tech journalism.
FINANCIAL DISCLOSURES
Employees are expected to maintain transparency in their financial dealings and avoid potential conflicts of interest.
- Employees may not trade in the stock or assets of technology companies they cover, and all trading should be with full transparency.
- Employees involved in covering financial aspects of the tech industry must disclose their investments to the Editor-in-Chief every six months.
ATTRIBUTION

- Sources will be identified wherever possible, and anonymous sources will be clearly described to provide context.
- When using public social media content, employees should consult the Editor, especially if using private posts or if the context is sensitive.

COPYRIGHT
Content produced for Tech Observer Magazine, including articles, interviews, and videos, remains the property of Tech Observer Magazine. Any employee intending to use their work for personal projects must first obtain consent from the Editor.
STING OPERATIONS
Employees must maintain transparency and honesty in all news-gathering activities.
- Information gathering must not involve deception, impersonation, or hidden recording.
- Blackmail or bargaining for information with promises of favourable coverage is strictly prohibited.
DISCRIMINATION
