Chennai tech firm Tango Eye onboards Arindam Chakraborty as CTO

Chakraborty with about 22 years of experience  will be responsible for managing the technology, delivery, new generation platform and architecture development

Chennai based computer vision company Tango Eye, which uses AI and ML to convert video data into actionable insights for improved efficiency, has announced the appointment of veteran and former vice-president of BNY Mellon , Arindam Chakraborty, as its chief technology officer.

According to the company, Chakraborty with about 22 years of experience in leadership, data science, architecture, technology development and management will be responsible for managing the technology, delivery, new generation platform and architecture development, and developing short and long-term technology objectives in line with the long-term company strategy.

“Our vision to expand into the fastest-growing digital vision enterprise is accelerated with the onboarding of Arindam as the CTO. By directing our team with his insightfulness, I believe he can come up with high-end analytics for better safety and efficiency in our products and services,” Suren Gounder, founder and CEO of Tango Eye said in a statement.

In the past, Chakraborty has also worked with top tech majors including TCS, Infosys R&D, Institute, Honeywell to acquire technical and managerial know-how in the fields of , machine learning and analytics.

“We are witnessing an era of digital revolution wherein each business must be equipped with the latest technological advancements to sustain the mark of the economic down run. I see my appointment as an opportunity to lead a budding company towards being an invaluable and immaculate service provider to the customers,” Chakraborty said.

In 2017, Chakraborty co-founded InstaData, a company delivering analytical solutions to businesses for the last 4-5 years. Before that, he spent close to four years at BNY Mellon Technology as a vice-president, leading the advanced analytics and machine learning team to bolster the company platform.
