Oracle Corp on Tuesday announced a new set of artificial intelligence (AI) agents designed to automate human resources (HR) processes within its Fusion Cloud Applications, saying the features are aimed at improving workforce productivity and talent management.
The company said the tools, embedded in Oracle Fusion Cloud Human Capital Management (HCM), are intended to support tasks ranging from recruitment and performance management to payroll and succession planning.
Oracle said the agents are prebuilt with security features, run on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and will be integrated into existing workflows at no additional cost.
Chris Leone, executive vice president of applications development at Oracle, said HR leaders are under pressure to balance employee expectations with organisational needs.
“The new AI agents to be embedded in Oracle Fusion Applications cover HR processes from hire to retire and this enables HR leaders to improve the employee experience, drive continuous performance management, automate time-consuming tasks, and help employees and managers focus on what truly matters,” he said in a statement.
Range of functions
According to Oracle, the new agents include a”job discovery” tool that helps employees identify roles aligned with their skills and interests, and a “job fit advisor” that delivers personalised assessments and recommends training courses.
Other agents focus on automating interview scheduling, supporting managers in goal setting and meeting preparation, and providing data-driven insights for promotions and career planning.
Additional agents target core HR processes such as compensation, benefits and leave queries through an employee and manager “concierge” system, while the “positions assistant” is designed to help HR leaders evaluate staffing decisions. Payroll tools include an agent to detect anomalies during payroll runs and highlight contributing factors.
Oracle said the suite also covers the employee lifecycle, with features to provide policy guidance during hiring and off-boarding, and a “succession planning advisor” that maps pipeline health and identifies successors for key roles.
Broader application ecosystem
The agents form part of Oracle’s broader Fusion Cloud Applications portfolio, which includes enterprise resource planning, supply chain and manufacturing and customer experience platforms. Oracle said these integrated applications are intended to help organisations make faster decisions, lower costs and improve resilience.
Oracle said its AI agents are designed to complement existing HR functions rather than replace them, enabling employees, managers and recruiters to “focus on what truly matters – delivering impactful business outcomes.”
