OWC has launched a Thunderbolt 5 dock with dual 10GbE ports, aiming to simplify multi-network workflows for media and IT professionals at speeds up to 20Gb/s.

Other World Computing (OWC) on Tuesday introduced a new Thunderbolt 5 network dock that combines dual 10 gigabit Ethernet ports with multiple Thunderbolt and USB connections, targeting professionals in media production and IT.
The dock, officially named the OWC Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GbE Network Dock, allows users to connect to up to three separate networks simultaneously and link to high-speed network-attached storage (NAS).
The company said the product enables throughput of up to 20 gigabits per second when its two 10GbE ports are bonded using link aggregation.

According to OWC, the dock also includes one 2.5GbE port, three Thunderbolt 5 ports and four 10Gb/s USB ports, alongside support for up to three 8K displays. It is housed in a fanless aluminium enclosure for quiet operation.
Larry O’Connor, founder and CEO of OWC, said the goal was to simplify professional workflows by reducing reliance on multiple adapters.
“With the Thunderbolt 5 Dual 10GbE Network Dock, we’re giving creatives, IT teams and power users a smarter, faster and cleaner way to connect everything they need,” he said in a statement.

Industry voices highlighted the potential benefits for production environments. Video production consultant Guy Cochran said the dock enabled complex multi-network setups through a single Thunderbolt 5 connection, while Intel executive Ben Hacker described the product as an example of how Thunderbolt 5 could expand professional connectivity options.
The dock is priced at $499 and is immediately available, OWC said.
