American software giant Adobe has appointed Ben Goodman as president for Asia Pacific (APAC) and head of Digital Experience (DX) Japan, the company said on Wednesday.
Goodman, who will report to Stephen Frieder, chief revenue officer for Adobe Enterprise, will be responsible for Adobe’s business across the Asia Pacific region as well as its DX operations in Japan.
“Ben’s leadership experience aligns perfectly with Adobe’s ambitions in APAC and Japan. He brings a strong vision for growth, a strong record of delivering customer value and a proven history of building successful teams across this diverse region,” Frieder said in a statement.
Adobe Enterprise is the division that caters to large organisations, providing them with advanced tools for creativity, document management and customer engagement. This includes well-known products such as Photoshop and Illustrator under Creative Cloud, and Acrobat and Adobe Sign under Document Cloud.
Within this, Adobe Digital Experience (DX) zeroes in on customer experience and marketing technologies, through platforms like Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Commerce, helping businesses deliver personalised websites, e-commerce solutions, data-driven insights and digital campaigns.
Goodman has more than two decades of experience in the Asia Pacific and Japan markets. He joins from identity and access management company Okta, where he was senior vice president and general manager for the region, overseeing operations and growth strategy for three years.
The appointment also marks Goodman’s return to Adobe, where he previously served as managing director of digital experience sales in APAC during 2019 and 2020.
“I’m thrilled to be returning to Adobe as President of APAC & DX Japan. It’s an exciting time for Adobe; I’m inspired by the opportunities ahead and deeply motivated by the incredible team I’ll work with across the region,” Goodman wrote in a social media post.
Asia Pacific is a critical growth market for Adobe, which counts major brands, governments and enterprises in the region among its customers. The company has been expanding its digital experience offerings to meet the rising demand for e-commerce, online services and data-driven customer engagement.
Goodman holds a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science and Information Technology (IT) from Curtin University and serves on the the advisory board of Young Founders School.
