Dhaka — Listed Golden Harvest Agro Industries Limited has decided to go into the e-commerce business on March 9 this year in addition apart from its profound conventional businesses. For this, a separate company will be formed in a joint venture with Golden Harvest Infotech, an IT company of their own group.
Following this, the company has launched an e-commerce company called Golden Harvest Services Limited. The company is 45 % owned by Golden Harvest Agro Industries.
According to the information, Golden Harvest Agro Industries will provide food, groceries, medicine supply, booking, and ticketing services through e-commerce.
The company, which is listed as an e-commerce company, owns 45 % of the shares in return for an investment of Tk5 crore. And Golden Harvest Infotech will have a 55 % stake.
A board meeting decided to pay a 2 % cash dividend to general investors other than the entrepreneurial director from the company's accumulated funds based on the audited financial statements for the fiscal year 2020 ending June 30.
