Chinese smartphone company Oppo outlined plans to integrate Agentic AI into its devices during Google Cloud Next 2025, citing partnerships with the US firm.

Las Vegas — Chinese smartphone company Oppo outlined its vision for Agentic AI at Google Cloud Next 2025 event, reinforcing its goal of building AI solutions through in-house development and collaboration with Google Cloud.
Oppo Research Institute President Jason Liao said: “Oppo’s focus has always been on the user and our goal is very clear: to lead innovation in AI experience and provide the best experience. We are continuously enhancing AI experiences through strategic collaborations with partners like Google Cloud, aiming to deliver Agentic AI capabilities to Oppo users.”
At the event, Oppo demonstrated AI Search, a system-level tool developed with Google Cloud, enabling users to retrieve complex multimodal document information using natural language queries. The company also highlighted advancements in AI Productivity, AI Creativity and AI Imaging.

The senior executive said that the smartphone maker is exploring next-generation Agentic AI experiences with an emphasis on personalisation. The company is developing a user knowledge system to centralise fragmented mobile data, learning from user activities, interests and memories to deliver tailored AI interactions.
Earlier this year, Oppo launched its AI Private Computing Cloud (PCC), integrating Google Cloud’s Confidential Computing to ensure secure, encrypted AI data processing within an isolated environment.
Through partnerships with hyperscalers like Google Cloud, Oppo said it aims to target nearly 100 million global users with AI solutions by the end of 2025.
India will chair the Common Criteria Development Board from April 2026, gaining influence over international IT security certification standards recognised by 38 countries.
