The admit card for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2017 has been released on September 12 at the official website of the OTET - bseodisha.ac.in.

OTET 2017 admit card: The admit card for Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET) 2017 has been released on September 12 at the official website of the OTET – bseodisha.ac.in. The registration for OTET 2017 (1st) began on August 25 at 08.00 a.m. and it ended on September 6, midnight. The exam authority has released the OTET 2017 admit card today. The exam is scheduled to be held on September 25 between 10 am to 12.30 pm for Paper I and from 2 pm to 4.30 pm for Paper II.

How to download OTET Admit Card 2017

  • Go to bseodisha.ac.in. 
  • Click on the ticker that says ” Admit Card for OTET –2017 (1st)
  • It will take you to the indiaresult.com admit card link
  • There you need to enter your registration number and id
  • Your admit card will be displayed on the screen
  • Check all the details and download for future reference.
  • If you find any discrepancy, report to BSE Odisha

As per rules of Government of Odisha, Department of School and Mass Education, OTET is mandatory for teaching Class-I o VIII students in the schools of the state government, private aided schools and private unaided schools in the Odisha. Candidates intending to seek employment as teachers in private un-aided schools also have the option of appearing at Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by central government through CBSE. The minimum qualification to be considered for OTET 2017 is class 12th from a recognised board or institute.

OTET 2017 is being conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Odisha which is a body constituted under the Odisha Secondary Education Act, 1953. It regulates, controls and develops Secondary . It offers varied courses in order to equip students for different occupations, to prepare them for university education and to equip them for various cultural purposes.

OTET 2017 Exam Pattern, Syllabus

There are two papers for OTET 2017 – Paper 1 and Paper 2. A candidate can only appear in any one paper.  If they apply in both, their candidature will be rejected.

Paper 1: The paper will be of total 150 marks and will contain question on child development and pedagogy, a regional language (Odia, Urdu, Hindi, Telugu or Bengali), English, mathematics and environmental studies.

Paper 2: The paper will be of total 150 marks. It will include questions on three compulsory subjects- child development and pedagogy, a regional language and English- and an optional subject. Candidates can choose between maths and science or social studies for the optional section.

Paper 2: 2 pm to 4:30 pm
