CHICAGO – Copado, a provider of DevOps tools for business applications, on Monday (September 29, 2025) appointed Salesforce veteran Gaurav Kheterpal as its Chief Evangelist and announced the opening of a new regional office in Jaipur as part of its Asia-Pacific expansion.
The Chicago-headquartered company said the appointment is intended to strengthen its global developer community and increase engagement in India’s Salesforce ecosystem, which has become a major base for its users.
Copado said 70% of its more than 100,000 community members are in India and it expects that number to rise by 15% over the next year.
Salesforce veteran to lead developer engagement
Kheterpal, a Salesforce MVP Hall of Famer, has worked in the ecosystem for nearly 20 years. He has spoken 13 times at Salesforce’s annual Dreamforce event and previously served as a Copado Champion, the company said.
“Gaurav’s appointment represents a pivotal moment in our community-driven growth strategy,” Christie Marsh, Copado’s Chief Marketing Officer, said in a statement.
“His experience in the Salesforce ecosystem, combined with his focus on community building and education, makes him the ideal leader to expand our reach across India and the broader APAC region,” Marsh said.
In his new role, Kheterpal will oversee programmes focused on developer and IT education, including the creation of localised training, content and events tailored to Indian and Asia-Pacific markets, the company said.
Copado plans to expand in India
Kheterpal said India is becoming central to Copado’s global expansion. “I am excited to build stronger bridges for Copado with the community in India and across APAC to equip the next generation of developers with the tools, education and opportunities they need to thrive in the AI era,” he said.
Copado currently employs more than 50 people across support, sales, alliances and community functions in India and plans to expand the team by 35% in the coming year.
The company, which promotes its tools as powered by artificial intelligence, has reported double-digit global growth and aims to accelerate adoption of automation in DevOps practices through its India operations.
The firm did not disclose financial terms of its investment in India.
Editor’s Note: This story has been updated to clarify that Copado currently employs more than 50 people across support, sales, alliances and community functions in India, not just in Jaipur, as mentioned earlier.
