The Bengaluru SOC is described as a round-the-clock cyber defence hub, providing cyber threat intelligence and incident response in collaboration with company’s global network of cybersecurity experts. The center offers a hybrid model, allowing organisations to either outsource specific cybersecurity functions or fully manage their cybersecurity operations through Kyndryl.

As an IBM spinoff, Kyndryl emphasised that the SOC will also serve as a center of excellence for cybersecurity management, providing specialised skills, certifications, and technologies to support security events, operational management, and monitoring. The SOC’s capabilities reportedly include multi-level incident monitoring, malware analysis, threat hunting, and security information and event management (SIEM).

The company also claims the facility is equipped with advanced cyber engineering to analyse evolving threats, offer actionable insights to customers, and ensure compliance with government data protection regulations.

Kyndryl stated that the SOC operates on its Security Operations as a Platform (SOaap) capability, a unified digital platform integrated with Kyndryl Bridge. This integration enhances visibility, risk, and threat management across a customer’s IT infrastructure, streamlining coordination between IT operations and cybersecurity.

“We are addressing the critical security challenges faced by C-suite leaders, including the need for enhanced operational efficiency, compliance with evolving security regulations, and integration with new technologies. Our focus is on managing increased workloads, responding to dynamic business needs, and defending against an expanded attack surface,” said Kyndryl India Lingraju Sawkar.
