Union Budget aims to unleash India’s digital potential, says NetApp India MD Puneet Gupta

For its focus on technology and being the highlight of her speech, the presented by the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has been applauded by the technology sector. Puneet Gupta, Vice President and Managing Director, NetApp India/, said that the budget has put the country in a ‘strong position’ to be considered as a digital budget.

“The announcements made by the Hon’ble Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman have given us a lot to be excited about,” said Gupta. “The mission of Amrit Kaal has put us in a strong position to truly call this a digital budget, given its large focus on technology and digital.”

In her budget speech Finance Minister has announced the setting up of 100 5G labs and the development of three Centers of Excellence for , which industry leaders say will help in unlocking the digital potential of the country. NetApp India chief sees numerous opportunities in a world that is driven by data and AI, and is ‘proud’ for NetApp to play a role in building a truly digital nation.
