Edited Excerpts:

Hello everyone! I am Aaizah Zahra from Prometheus School. Our school gives us many opportunities to explore robotics, artificial intelligence and even build machines. Today, I had the incredible chance to speak with Justice BN Srikrishna, a former judge of the Supreme Court of India, about artificial intelligence. Do you know what AI is? If not, let’s dive in and begin our podcast!

Aaizah Zahra: To start, what are the advantages and disadvantages of AI?

Justice BN Srikrishna: It’s lovely to be interviewed by such a bright young mind—just 10 years old—and you’ve asked me a question I’ve been trying to answer for many years!

Now, what are the advantages of AI? AI is an incredibly powerful tool. In today’s world, we’ve moved away from reading and writing manually, storing everything digitally instead. AI helps us analyse this digital information, retrieve it when needed, and detect patterns to work more efficiently.

For example, imagine your school timetable. You write down Period 1: with Miss X, Period 2: Science with Miss Y, and so on. If there’s a sudden change, you might get confused and need to rewrite it. But with AI, you can update it instantly with just a click. That’s the power of AI!

Aaizah Zahra: How do you think AI will affect the future?

Justice BN Srikrishna: Oh, AI will definitely shape the future. Take you, for instance—a young student. AI can give you access to vast amounts of information beyond your school curriculum. There are so many fascinating subjects out there!

AI can also help with creativity. It can compose songs like famous singers, create paintings in the style of Picasso, or even write stories as well as renowned novelists. It has tremendous potential to help you learn faster and understand lessons more deeply. Plus, it can even come up with challenging questions to stump your teachers!

Aaizah Zahra: Finally, what are the cyber challenges associated with AI?

Justice BN Srikrishna: Cyber challenges? Well, think of it this way: if you have a lot of money at home and don’t keep it securely locked away, someone might steal it, right? So, what do you do? You might keep it in a locked drawer, a safe, or even a bank vault for maximum security.

Similarly, in the digital world, your personal information—your name, address, age—is like your property. There are people out there, just like thieves, who want to steal this data and misuse it for profit. That’s , and it’s a serious issue.

This is why cybersecurity is so important. Just as police protect physical property, AI tools can help guard your digital data, keeping it safe from unauthorised access.
