Veeam Software said on Wednesday it has launched a new application for ServiceNow that allows organisations to manage data protection processes within the ServiceNow platform, as the company targets growing demand for automation and compliance in data resilience.
The Veeam App for ServiceNow enables businesses to orchestrate backup and recovery tasks directly through ServiceNow workflows. Veeam said the integration offers policy-driven backup management, real-time status synchronisation and auditing tools aimed at helping organisations meet regulatory requirements.
The app is available through the ServiceNow Store and will be free for customers using Veeam Data Platform Advanced and Premium editions.
The company said the tool is designed for enterprises in sectors that rely on strict compliance and data availability, including finance, healthcare, manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.
Users will be able to automate incident creation related to backup failures, provide role-based access for different teams and deploy self-service backup requests within existing IT service management processes.
“In today’s digital landscape, everything depends on data, especially the workflows that drive modern business operations,” Veeam Chief Revenue Officer John Jester said. “By uniting Veeam’s secure backup and resilience features with ServiceNow ITSM automation, we enable customers to simplify operations and accelerate recovery while staying prepared for audits.”
ServiceNow executives said the collaboration supports businesses facing heavier regulatory oversight. Alix Douglas, group vice president, ServiceNow, said the partnership provides “powerful new ways to further protect data in highly regulated sectors,” adding that it reflects a shared focus on addressing business continuity challenges.
Veeam said the app will help decentralise backup management, reduce manual intervention in recovery tasks and improve traceability for compliance purposes.
The company added that the platform integration is aimed at supporting organisations seeking to strengthen their data resilience while adopting automation and AI tools in their IT systems.
