Colon will lead customer-facing functions including renewals, customer success, professional services and technical support. He will report to chief revenue officer John Jester. Colon previously held customer leadership roles at ServiceNow, and Salesforce.

Rau will lead Veeam’s global partner business, covering distribution, resellers, software-as-a-service partners and strategic alliances. He will also report to Jester. Rau previously held senior roles at F5 and Cisco.

Veeam said the appointments were aimed at strengthening execution across customer engagement, partner programmes and corporate strategy as demand grows for data protection and resilience solutions used by enterprises deploying cloud and artificial intelligence systems.
