Snapchat faces network issues a week after Facebook, Whatsapp saw network failure

This also comes a day after Gmail was out for some users in India and a week after the six-hour-long Facebook outage

All seems not going too well for the global social media giants and technology majors. A week after the networks of top social media majors including Facebook and went for a toss after users across the world reported glitches in logging on to their accounts, popular social media Snapchat is reported to have gone down globally on Wednesday evening and several users were unable to post story updates or send messages.

Snap, which is the parent company of Snapchat, tweeted: “We’re aware that some Snapchatters are having issues using the app right now – hang tight, we’re looking into it!”

According to Down Detector, which is an app outage tracking website, reported the problems with Snapchat. While 41% has trouble with the app, 27% of those affected were facing trouble with sharing photos and .

The Snapchat users also took to Twitter to report their issues. This also comes a day after Gmail was out for some users in India and a week after the six-hour-long Facebook outage.

Last week the news feed of Facebook was not responding for app users. also reported a similar problem. Many users reported on Twitter and we have checked that the Facebook-owned social media platforms and messaging app were down.

A WhatsApp spokesperson said that “We’re aware that some people are experiencing issues with WhatsApp at the moment. We’re working to get things back to normal and will send an update here as soon as possible.”
