IIT Roorkee Divyasampark I-Hub now fully functional

IIT-Roorkee said that Divyasampark I-Hub which has been set up at its campus to promote technology innovation and entrepreneurship in the cyber-physical systems (CPS) domain is now fully functional

Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee said that Divyasampark I-Hub which has been set up at its campus to promote technology innovation and in the cyber-physical systems (CPS) domain is now fully functional. 

The hub which focuses on device materials and technology has been founded under the National Mission on Interdisciplinary Cyber-Physical Systems (NM-ICPS) and seeks to act as a unified solution for nearly 356 central technologies.

“CPS comprises an array of modern technologies intended to meet and resolve the challenges of , and nurture an innovative and entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country. The initiative will help shape the future of our country which would be assessable in both qualitative and quantitative terms,” said Prof. Sudeb Dasgupta, Project Director and Member of the Board of Directors of Divyasampark, Roorkee.

The project is financially supported by the central government’s Department of Science and Technology with an estimated cost of Rs 135 crores for the next five years. The government has already released 27.25 crores.

As part of strengthening the team, IIT Roorkee has roped in Manish Anand as CEO of the company. Anand, an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, holds a B.Tech degree in Materials and Metallurgical Engineering and possesses over 15 years of experience in business development, financial planning and strategic consultancy.

Divyasampark iHUB, a section 8 company, is a joint initiative of IIT Roorkee and the central government’s Department of Science and Technology (DST).

“Divyasampark would act as a technology provider for Cyber-Physical Systems and allied technologies. will facilitate the creation of knowledge, encourage startups and promote collaboration within IIT Roorkee as well as across the country,” stated Prof. Ajit K Chaturvedi, Director, IIT Roorkee and Chairman Board of Director, Divyasampark.

Centre invites applications for test centres under legal metrology rules
