Cloud infrastructure firm and have partnered to offer solutions to enterprises across public clouds and on-premises data centers. Together, they unveiled an expanded set of products and services as part of the NxtGen Infinite , which is delivered from NxtGen's data centers located across Mumbai and Bangalore.

New and updated offerings include: Extending the data center network using VMware NSX. NxtGen's VMware NSX deployment can extend a customer's on-premise infrastructure, thereby enabling cloud bursting. This also enables Disaster-Recovery-as-a-Service for customers that have deployed VMware solutions; Customer onboarding simplified through the VMware NSX Edge service; Enterprises can now leverage new security and load-balancing capabilities; and Hybrid container management service.

“New tech- and cloud-driven models are transforming every aspect of business and reshaping end-user expectations and experiences. From this, the core challenge for Indian businesses today is having to conquer complexity and innovate efficiently across a range of devices, applications, and clouds,” said Arun Parameswaran, Managing Director, VMware India. “VMware's cloud and infrastructure solutions help address this challenge by empowering people and their organizations to access any application on any device from any cloud, with intrinsic security “architected in” across every layer. Service providers like NxtGen can leverage VMware technology to help customers from decreased time to market, reduced capital expenditure and lowered development costs to stay competitive.”

Applications play a crucial role in business growth and innovation – from increasing operational efficiency to empowering employees and shaping a differentiated customer experience. The ability to manage the current and future state of its application portfolio is therefore crucial to an enterprise's survival and success.

The use case of an application determines whether it is initially deployed on physical hardware, private cloud or public cloud. Cloud-native applications, for example, take advantage of APIs and are tied to a cloud service provider. Traditional applications, on the other hand, are built for the data center and will need to be migrated to the cloud for greater scalability.

As business needs and use cases evolve, applications are increasingly being built for cloud-native environments and architectures. As organizations begin to use multiple public and private cloud services alongside traditional infrastructure and applications, the result is a complex and heterogeneous hybrid environment that raises unique security, management and governance issues. To help enterprises overcome complexity and innovate efficiently across a range of devices, applications and clouds, the NxtGen Infinite Data Center offers integration between an enterprise's internal and external environments at the data, process management and security layers.

NxtGen provides seamless network and single point manageability across platforms – regardless of whether it is a service from any of the global cloud service providers, NxtGen's own cloud offering, or the customer's private cloud or physical infrastructure. This multi-cloud service creates value by aligning the enterprise's application development and management strategy to its business growth strategy, while building standards-based deployment to enhance security and governance.

NxtGen enables its customers to adopt VMware to modernize their data centers, integrate public clouds and transform security. The VMware Cloud Provider platform, which includes VMware vCloud Director and VMware's Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) solutions, helps NxtGen achieve operational efficiency by rapidly enabling and monetizing highly-scalable cloud environments.

Using a full spectrum of technologies from VMware, including VMware vSphere, VMware vSAN and VMware NSX, NxtGen has built a highly-flexible infrastructure that can be configured to deliver multiple application use cases and deliver high performance for its customers. VMware vCloud Director enables cloud providers to provisionSDDC services that are ready for use within minutes. As a service provider, NxtGen manages multiple physical data centers, which hosts thousands of virtualized data centers. To simplify complex processes, NxtGen's multi-cloud platform leverages native management capabilities from VMware vRealize Operations and VMware vRealize Log Insight.

“This is a proud moment for us, and we look forward to continuing to strengthen NxtGen's vision of an ‘Infinite Data Center' through our partnership with VMware. Our ‘Infinite Data Center' vision promises enterprises high-performance and highly-available IT Infrastructure resources on-demand,” said A.S. Rajgopal, CEO, NxtGen. “We are confident that with VMware's help, we can accelerate the delivery of IT infrastructure, allowing security and control, and prompt responses to customers. In turn, we will be able to help our customers enhance their efficiency by delivering elasticity in their IT infrastructure. With nine data centers across the country, we are committed to supporting India's growing needs for data consumption, sustaining capital savings for businesses and boosting the job market.”
