The launch includes a collaboration with American media personality Kylie Jenner, marking her first venture into wearable technology. Meta said the new glasses build on its existing Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta product lines, which the company claims are the world’s best-selling AI glasses.

The Meta Glasses range comprises three frame styles: Meta Adventurer, described as a rectangular shape available in standard and large sizes; Meta Fury, a larger frame design; and Meta Glasses by Kylie, a slim oval frame.

The glasses come in seven colours including Classic Black, Classic Tortoise and Racing Green, with options for sun lenses, Transitions lenses, polarised lenses and clear lenses developed by EssilorLuxottica.

AI capabilities powered by new Muse Spark model

The glasses run on Meta AI, the company’s artificial intelligence assistant, powered by Muse Spark. Muse Spark is the first AI model from Meta Superintelligence Labs and is described by the company as having enhanced multimodal capabilities — the ability to process and respond to different types of input including voice, images and video simultaneously.

Meta said the AI assistant can answer questions, provide information about what the wearer is seeing through the glasses’ camera and help manage daily tasks. The glasses feature a dedicated action button to activate the AI assistant, which can also be customised to launch other features.

Meta announced several software features launching alongside the glasses.
