Technology seems to have no boundations even if the world is living with newly imposed restrictions following the Covid-19 pandemic outbreak. This seems apt for the new 5G technology that has made its way into the lives of millions as the 5G devices have increased by 24.1% quarter-on-quarter, says the latest Global mobile Suppliers Association (GSA) report.
According to the report, the 5G devices has increased by 24.1% quarter-on-quarter, reaching 938 while the number of commercially available 5G devices grew 29.9% over the same period, reaching 608 devices, the ‘5G Device Ecosystem – August 2021′ report said.
As per the report, the number of commercially available devices represents 64.8% of the total number of announced 5G devices. Of these commercial 5G devices, over 400 are phones. Interestingly, 528 announced devices have declared support for 5G Standalone (SA) in sub-6GHz bands, of which, 365 are commercially available.
