91.87% boys while 91.97% girls passed the AP SSC Class 10th exams 2017

Andhra Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (BSEAP), popularly known as SSC Board has declared AP SSC Class 10th Results 2017 at bse.ap.gov.in and said 91.92% students have cleared the Class 10th board examination.
The announcement was made Minister for human resource development, Ganta Srinivasa Rao in Vizag. According to the reports, over seven lakh candidates have appeared for the AP Secondary School Certificate (SCC) examinations.
These exams were conducted from March 26 to April 16 by The Andhra Pradesh Directorate of Government Examinations which is a nodal agency in AP for conducting the SSC/OSSC public examinations.

According to government, 6,22,538 regular students appeared for the exam, out of which 5,60,253 cleared the exam accounting for a pass percentage of 91.92% which is 2.60% less than the previous year’s pass percentage.
“As many as 3,14,471 boys appeared for the examinations, of which 2,82,909 boys (91.87%) cleared their examinations. Among the 2,95,031 girls, who took the examinations, 2,51,344, accounting for 91.97%, passed the examinations. Thus, the girls outperformed boys marginally,” the Rao said to reporters.

Around 13,000 students appeared for the exam privately of whom, 8,262 students passed the examination.
