- Sony India launches 16 professional displays across three product lines
- Prices start at Rs 1.4 lakh for screen sizes from 43 to 85 inches
- Displays offer up to 31 per cent lower power consumption than previous series
Sony India has launched 16 professional display models under the BRAVIA Professional Displays BZ-P Series, targeting corporate offices, retail stores, educational institutions and transport facilities. The 4K HDR displays, available in screen sizes ranging from 43 inches to 85 inches, are priced starting at Rs 1,40,000 and are available through the company’s authorised distribution network.
The lineup comprises three product lines namely the flagship BZ40P Series with four models, the enhanced BZ35P Series with six models and the core BZ30P Series with six models. All displays feature what the company calls Deep Black Non-Glare technology, which reduces screen reflections in brightly lit environments, along with an integrated System-on-Chip architecture that eliminates the need for a separate set-top box when used for digital signage, the company said.
“India’s professional display market is witnessing strong momentum, driven by the rapid expansion of digital infrastructure across enterprises, retail, education, transportation and public sector environments,” said Sunil Nayyar, managing director, Sony India. “The BZ-P Series empowers organisations to create more immersive and impactful visual experiences while benefiting from ease of deployment, operational flexibility and long-term value.”
Sony display specifications
The flagship BZ40P Series offers brightness levels of 700 nits and what Sony describes as up to 47 per cent anti-glare performance. These models carry IP5X certification for dust resistance, making them suitable for industrial and warehouse environments where airborne particles are a concern, according to the company.
The BZ35P Series provides 500 nits brightness with 25 per cent anti-glare performance and IP5X dust resistance. The entry-level BZ30P Series delivers 400 nits brightness with 25 per cent anti-glare performance but lacks the dust resistance certification.
Sony said the displays consume up to 31 per cent less power than its previous BZ-L Series, achieved through a high-efficiency optical system and what the company calls XR processor-based AI backlight control. The AI backlight control automatically adjusts screen brightness based on the content being displayed, reducing energy consumption during darker scenes, according to the company.
The displays feature a thinner and lighter form factor compared to previous models, with centre-positioned VESA mounting holes for easier installation. The 75-inch and 85-inch models include integrated handles for transportation. Narrow bezels allow multiple displays to be configured as video walls with minimal visual gaps between screens.
A built-in ECO Dashboard allows users to monitor energy consumption and adjust display settings. The company said it has tested compatibility with leading content management system providers to ensure the displays work with existing digital signage platforms.
The lineup carries Energy Star certification and is pending EPEAT certification, the company said. Select models incorporate up to 43 per cent recycled plastic material in their construction.
