Nokia 1 with Android Go Edition for Rs 5,499 launched in India

Nokia 1 runs on Android Oreo (Go edition) and comes with a quad-core processor, front and rear cameras, 4G connectivity and dual SIM and microSD slot.

HMD Global, the makers of phones said that the Nokia 1 is available for sale at all leading mobile phone outlets across the country at a price of Rs. 5,499. Nokia 1 runs on Android Oreo (Go edition), a version of Android for devices with 1GB RAM or less. The Nokia 1 is comes with a quad-core processor, front and rear cameras, 4G connectivity and dual SIM and microSD slot. It is powered by a removable 2150 mAh battery. Nokia 1 is now available globally in warm Red and dark Blue.

Available in warm red and dark blue the Nokia 1 will be up for sale starting March 28, 2018 at a recommended price of Rs. 5,499. The Xpress On covers will be available separately starting April, 2018 at price of Rs. 450. Consumers can now personalize their Nokia 1 and pick from a pack of azure and grey or yellow and pink.

India logged 29 lakh cyber incidents in 2025, up 85% in two years

India recorded 29.44 lakh cyber security incidents in 2025, an 85 per cent increase from 2023, the government told the Lok Sabha. CERT-In has empanelled 237 security auditing organisations and trained over 11 lakh participants through awareness programmes.
