The Motorola Edge 50 is preparing for its India debut, having recently appeared on the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification site. This development indicates that the smartphone could be launched in the soon, attracting attention from enthusiasts.

The Motorola Edge 50 was listed on the BIS site under the model number XT2407-3. Although the certification does not provide specific details about the phone’s features, its presence on BIS suggests an upcoming launch in India. This follows similar listings on UAE’s TDRA and the FCC certification websites, pointing to a wider international release.

Expected Pricing and Specifications

Reports suggest that the Motorola Edge 50 will be priced at EUR 599 in Europe, approximately Rs. 54,162, for the variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

For comparison, the Motorola Edge 40 was launched in India at Rs. 29,999, offering 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Indian price for the Edge 50 has not been disclosed, but it is expected to be in line with its predecessor’s pricing strategy.

The Motorola Edge 50 is rumoured to include several upgrades. It may feature a 5,000mAh battery with 68W wired fast charging, an improvement over the Edge 40’s 4,400mAh battery.

The Edge 50 is also expected to support 15W wireless charging, run on Android 14 with the Hello UI skin, and offer connectivity options including 5G, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, Bluetooth, and GPS.

Specifications Overview

While detailed specifications for the Edge 50 remain unknown, it is anticipated to continue the Edge 40’s legacy. The predecessor included a 6.55-inch FHD+ 144Hz pOLED display, was powered by the Dimensity 8020 SoC, and featured a 50MP OIS-enabled main camera, a 13MP ultra-wide , and a 32MP front camera.
