Huawei Honor launches Toilet Insurance Plan for its smartphones, Honor 7X and Honor View 10

Chinese handset maker Huawei which owns Honor brand has launched a first-of-its kind smartphone toilet insurance plan to safeguard phones from damage caused by accidental drops into the toilet.

With as many as 69% of Americans using their in toilet and quarter of them accidentally dropping it there, the Chinese handset maker Huawei which owns Honor brand has launched a first-of-its kind smartphone toilet insurance plan to safeguard phones from damage caused by accidental drops into the toilet. The plan is available for free of charge for all and Honor View10 smartphones purchased on its website – hihonor.com/us – from April 1 to May 31, 2018, and will be covered through the end of 2018.

“Water damage is one of the most common reasons phones stop working completely. The Smartphone Toilet Insurance Plan is a totally new approach to keeping our customers protected no matter where they are taking care of business,” said Zack Zhang, of Honor USA.

The Honor 7X mobile comes with a 5.93-inch display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and it runs on Android v7.0 (Nougat) . The smartphone is powered by Octa core (2.36 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53 1.7 GHz, Quad core, Cortex A53) processor paired with 4 GB of RAM. It comes with a 3340 mAh battery.

The Huawei Honor View 10 is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone that accepts Nano-SIM and Nano-SIM. The device is powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 970 processor and it comes with 6GB of RAM. The phone packs 128GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. Huawei Honor View 10 has a 16-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 13-megapixel front shooter for selfies. It runs on Android 8.0 and is powered by a 3750mAh non removable battery.
