Taiwanese networking company D-Link Corporation on Monday announced the release of two Wi-Fi 7 routers aimed at households and small businesses, the company said in a statement.
The new products, named AQUILA PRO AI M36 BE3600 Smart Mesh Router and AQUILA PRO AI R36 BE3600 Smart Router, support dual-band Wi-Fi 7 technology operating at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz.
They include Multi-Link Operation (MLO), 160 MHz channels and 4K-QAM modulation, which the company said improve network speed and efficiency. Both models have 2.5G WAN and LAN ports, AI-based traffic management, WPA3 encryption and parental controls.
The M36 BE3600 is a mesh-enabled router designed for whole-home coverage. It features built-in omnidirectional antennas and supports MLO mesh, which D-Link said improves connections between routers and devices.
The company also said the device can support applications such as 4K video streaming and online gaming.
The R36 BE3600 is a standalone router with four external high-gain antennas. According to D-Link, it provides connectivity across homes with multiple obstacles and is compatible with gaming, 4K streaming and Internet of Things devices. It also supports MLO for low-latency connections to multiple devices.
Both routers can be managed through D-Link’s AQUILA PRO AI app, which the company said allows users to set up, monitor and adjust network settings.
D-Link said the launch of the M36 and R36 reflects its focus on home and small business networking. The company described the devices as supporting Wi-Fi 7 capabilities, including MLO, 4K-QAM and 2.5G connectivity.
The products enter the market as wireless technology standards evolve to meet increasing demand for high-speed connectivity in residential and small business environments.
