The global Consumer Electronics Show 2022 is set to see many firsts at the event marred by the rising number of Covid-19 cases globally. About 40 top tech majors have already withdrawn from the physical event.

But those ready to roll out big tech innovations during CES 2022 include South Korean tech giant , which will unveil its C-Lab incubator projects, divided into C-Lab Inside and C-Lab Outside projects and one of the unique Inside projects ZamStar, the company's custom guitar, and app combo aimed to make collaborating with other musicians easier.

The custom guitar is called the ZamString and there is an app to accompany it. How it works is that first, you play a certain part of a music piece on the ZamStar and then use the app to sync it up with other artists from around the world. Plus, the ZanString's fretboard lights up depending on the input you give it, which would help users in placing their fingers. The LED lighting has been put to ease making music with the ZamString.

Apart from the ZamStar guitar project, Samsung also has three other projects as part of its C-Lab Inside program at CES 2022. These include Piloto, an AI solution designed to help instil proper smartphone usage habits in children, PROBA, an AI-based online exam service “for administrators, test-takers and supervisors” and Innovision, “ a nursery mobile for early detection of infant strabismus.”

And as for the C-Lab Outside, Samsung is promoting and backing nine startups. The nine startups are “an AI-based pet biometric recognition solution ‘Petnow', a 3D immersive audio solution for mobile devices called Digisonic, an interactive metaverse music app named ‘Verses', an array of imaging radar technology solutions for autonomous driving and smart cities called ‘bitsensing', an AI-based data collection and labelling platform named ‘SELECTSTAR', a modular serving robot called RGT Inc, an input system to improve accessibility and productivity for the visually impaired called MoreDream Inc, a vehicle display customisation platform called Yellowknife and MONIT, a smart diaper care solution for elderly patients.”

How can focusing on human behaviour build a stronger cyber risk-aware culture

A risk-aware culture is critical to the development of a strong cybersecurity environment. We should build a risk culture among management and stakeholders as an added benefit or reward rather than a burden on the firm's personnel.
