As economy rebounds, Mi looks to make further inroads in India via Mi 11 Lite phone

The company has about 14% market share in the Rs 20,000-45,000 segment and logged sales worth over Rs 200 crore for Mi 11 Lite within the first week of its launch

With the Indian showing early signs of revival, Chinese smartphone maker has unveiled the new Mi 11 Lite for Indian customers in a bid to further penetrate the Indian market and become the market leader in the Rs 20,000-Rs 45,000 premium segment.

According to the company, which has about 14% market share in the Rs 20,000-45,000 segment, Mi 11 Lite generated nearly Rs 200 crore in its first week of sales. Mi 11 Lite is available in two variants: 6GB+128GB for Rs 21,999 and 8GB+128GB for Rs 23,999. It is available in three colours: Tuscany coral, jazz blue, and vinyl black.

The Mi 11 Lite comes equipped with a 6.55-inch AMOLED Display. It features 1.07 billion on-screen colours, which is 64 times more than the previous generation. This in a smoother colour gradient and a more natural transition between hues, while also minimising banding and lowering noise and imperfections on the image, regardless of the viewing angle.

The combination of its 90Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling rate simulates the feeling of using a device normally. Both the front and rear of the smartphone are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The Mi 11 Lite’s excellent image quality is complemented by equally vibrant sound. It includes a twin speaker configuration that is certified for Hi-Res Audio and Hi-Res Audio Wireless.

The Mi 11 Lite is equipped with a triple-camera configuration consisting of a 64MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP tele-macro camera. It features a 16MP front camera that can also record 4K films at 30 frames per second with natural colours and a wide dynamic range.

The camera app includes director modes that may aid in shooting at a pro-level.  The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G, which is manufactured using an 8nm process and offers an ideal balance of power, efficiency, and speed.

The smartphone is equipped with LiquidCool Technology, which prevents the device from overheating during these sessions. The smartphone is powered by a 4,250mAh battery and supports 33W rapid charging.
