Smartphone brand Ai+ Smartphone is moving into a broader connected-device strategy as the Indian handset market faces limited growth and companies seek higher-margin revenue streams.
The company announced it will launch an ecosystem of lifestyle-tech products built on its home-grown NxtQuantum OS platform, expanding beyond phones into accessories and other smart devices.
Ai+ said the new ecosystem will bring its smartphone design language to multiple categories and enable a unified user-experience across devices.
Founder & CEO Madhav Sheth said: “Our goal is to democratise good tech by creating products that look modern, work together instinctively, and stay true to our promise of transparent performance.”
Industry data show why this move makes strategic sense. India‘s mobile accessories market was valued at around $6.30 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach more than $21 billion by 2033.
Moreover, research indicates smartphone shipments in India rose only around 3 per cent year-on-year in Q3 2025, signalling a plateau in core handset growth.
Ai+ Smartphone to leverage its operating system
Analysts say brands are entering smart home, wearables and accessories segments to bolster margins, lock in users to an ecosystem and maximise their brand and distribution investments.
The accessory and smart-device categories typically offer faster turnover, higher repetition and lower entry cost than flagship smartphones.
Ai+’s move follows this pattern: leveraging its smartphone base, design style and operating system to extend into devices like earphones, smart speakers or connected lifestyle gear.
The firm has not yet disclosed specific product categories, pricing or launch timelines, but said more details will follow in due course.
