Salesforce appoints VMware top executive Arun Parameswaran as MD sales for India biz

American cloud-based enterprise software company, Salesforce which provides customer relationship management (CRM) has announced the appointment of Arun Kumar Parameswaran as Senior Vice & Managing Director, Sales & Distribution for India.

Based in , Parameswaran will lead the overall Sales and Distribution strategy for India and will to Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO and Chairperson, Salesforce India. Arun will officially join Salesforce in early May 2021, said a statement.

Parameswaran joins Salesforce from VMware where he was working as the Vice President for the enterprise business, leading the Strategic Pursuit Practice across the JAPAC region. Prior to VMware, Arun has also worked in various leadership roles at , Mastech/iGate, and Wipro Infotech.

The company said that Parameswaran’s, with over 28 years of diverse and vast experience of working with customers across a broad spectrum of enterprise, commercial, public sector and SMB’s on their digital transformation journeys will not just help the company strengthen its position in the Indian market but will also drive the company new strategic moves.

“India continues to be one of the fastest-growing regions for Salesforce and I am excited to welcome Arun on board to lead our sales team and support our growing customer base in India,” Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO and Chairperson, Salesforce India, said.
