Salesforce ropes in Intuit’s Sanket Atal as Managing Director for India

Salesforce has appointed Sanket Atal as a Senior Vice & Managing Director for . Based out of Bengaluru, Atal will be responsible for driving the next phase of growth for Salesforce in India, said the company. Atal will report to Arundhati Bhattacharya, CEO and Chairperson, Salesforce India.

Prior to this appointment, Sanket was heading India as Managing Director. In a career spanning over 30 years, Atal has played a leadership role in Software Development with Informix, Oracle, CA Tech, MakeMyTrip, and Intuit, working in the US and India with geographically distributed teams.

Salesforce has invested significantly in India over many years, adding more jobs, expanding its office space and partner ecosystem to support its growing customer base. India is home to the second-highest Salesforce workforce outside of the US with over 4000 employees across Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru, said the company.

The company said that Atal brings in a wealth of experience leading and growing global development centres delivering future-ready solutions.
