Pegasystems and KPMG join hands to focus on government vertical

Software firm and company KPMG have formed an alliance to pitch government agencies solution for automating manual processes. The companies said that beginning with government agencies, the alliance will expand to other industries including healthcare, financial services, and telecommunications.

“Government agencies face a number of challenges today that prevent them from meeting their transformation goals,” said Doug Averill, industry market lead, government, Pegasystems. “This new solution is taking the guesswork out of modernization with intelligent technology and strategic guidance that allow agencies to remain laser-focused on their goals and provide excellent citizen experiences.”

“Combining Pega’s software suite with KPMG’s deep experience helping government agencies transform their operations is a winning combination,” said Kirke Everson, KPMG principal and leader of the firm’s government IA practice. “Many agencies clearly need a tested digital transformation path to help them gain the benefits of IA and that’s what this alliance will help deliver.”

Both the firms are of the view that faced with growing demand for modernized citizen services, many government agencies are saddled with reduced budgets and hiring freezes, outdated and siloed technology, and workflow and integration challenges. They will combine industry-compliant technology with strategic consulting and implementation services to deliver effective intelligent (IA) solutions.
