TSSC, Kaushalya University signs MoU on drone tech skilling for telecom sector

Both the organisations will collaborate to develop industry-relevant courses and programmes that will aid in the development of capacity in the telecom sector.

The (TSSC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Kaushalya-Skill University, a -led skill university in Gujarat, to develop a roadmap for skilled manpower in the field of futuristic technologies.

The MoU, which is valid for five years, is primarily focused on collaborating to establish industry-led skill centres focused on promoting skilled manpower in the telecom sector, with a particular emphasis on drone technology and other emerging technologies. This includes the provision of Training of Trainers (ToT) in accordance with the NSQF standards.

Kaushalya University registrar H.R. Suthar said “Drone Technology is coming up in a big way for both use cases and for generating skilled manpower. It is critical that adequate manpower should be available for the industry when required.”

“We expect tremendous progress in drone and other technologies to drive growth in Gujarat and subsequently across the nation. TSSC are a valuable addition to this mission as they share a lot of our core ideologies for the future of India,” Suthar said.

Both the organisations will collaborate to develop industry-relevant courses and programmes that will aid in the development of capacity in the telecom sector. The MoU details the establishment of CoEs as part of TSSC’s ‘network of excellence’ with the goal of providing high-quality courses that equip youth with the tools necessary to succeed as /employable, said a statement.

“We are creating a roadmap for the future of our youth and our nation. New technologies are disrupting conventional practices and Indian origin companies are leveraging this to compete with global players. I believe that for maximum business productivity, we need to provide a platform for our youth to channel their potential,” said Arvind Bali, CEO, TSSC.

“Drone technology is a big and upcoming field and with governments support, we will surely make India the skill capital of the world,” Bali said.

TSSC said it will assist the university in developing close ties with the industry in order to gain a better understanding of evolving trends that will aid in evaluating the future of drone application and related courses. Additionally, the MoU details the establishment of a credit framework for competency-based skill training.
