Zscaler appoints Hemant Dabke to lead India, SAARC

Zscaler named Hemant Dabke as head of its India and SAARC business. The veteran executive earlier held senior roles at Databricks, UiPath, SAP and Microsoft.

BENGALURU — Cloud security firm Zscaler has appointed Hemant Dabke as Vice President and Managing Director for India and SAARC, the company said on Tuesday.

Dabke will oversee the company’s operations and business growth across India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and other South Asian markets. He succeeds regional leaders who previously managed the company’s expansion in India’s enterprise technology sector.

Zscaler said the appointment reflects its plan to strengthen its management team in one of its fastest-growing regions. The company provides cloud-based security services to corporate clients worldwide.

Hemant Dabke, a veteran technology executive

Dabke has more than two decades of experience in the technology industry. Before joining Zscaler, he was Regional Vice President at Databricks and UiPath, where he led business development and client engagement across Asia.

He has also held senior roles at SAP and Tech Mahindra, and spent over a decade at Microsoft in corporate sales and strategy. His work has focused on enterprise software, cloud computing and .

Zscaler said he will be responsible for expanding its customer base and strengthening partnerships across the region.

Zscaler’s expansion in India includes other recent appointments. In August 2024, it picked Anand S Upadhayay as Director and Country Manager for its government and business in India.

Also, in late 2023, Zscaler appointed Andreas Hartl as Senior Vice President for the Asia Pacific and Japan region.

Hartl said Dabke’s appointment adds experienced leadership to the company’s regional operations. He said India and the neighbouring South Asian markets remain important to Zscaler’s Asia-Pacific growth plans.
