Veeam plans to support job pathways

“India is moving into a more digitally intensive decade where cyber risks are increasing,” said Sandeep Bhambure, Managing Director for India and SAARC, Veeam. He said the company plans to support job pathways and help set up cyber resilience centres within universities to connect academic training with practical security requirements.

Under the university activation component, the initiative plans to establish centres of excellence at 100 institutions. These would provide students with exposure to secure software development, automated security operations and applied learning through industry-linked certification programmes.

The national rollout began in Bengaluru on Wednesday with a series of planned events including leadership roundtables, training workshops and campus-level activities. Organisers said the programme aims to prepare graduates and early-career professionals for roles in an AI-driven economy and improve institutional readiness against cyber threats.

The initiative, which is jointly led by Women In Cloud, Veeam Software, and Grace Hopper Celebration India (GHCI), will use a tiered partnership model, allowing participating organisations to contribute funds and gain access to advisory interactions and impact reporting tied to skilling outcomes.
