UPSC IES/ISS 2017 Final Result: 44 candidates recommended for appointment

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final result of the Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service (IES/ ISS) 2017 at its official website upsc.gov.in.

UPSC IES/ISS 2017 Final : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final result of the and Indian Statistical Service (IES/ ISS) 2017 at its official website upsc.gov.in. All the candidates who had appeared in the personality test can check their result now. The written exam was conducted in May 2017 followed by an interview in September 2017. UPSC has recommended 44 candidates for appointment. The commission has informed that it will release the individual marks of the candidates within 15 days. All in all, 15 candidates have been recommended for the UPSC IES 2017 selection while 29 such candidates for the UPSC ISS 2017.

There are around 13 candidates who have been provisionally recommended in the merit list of the UPSC IES/ISS 2017 exam final result. Also, as per the UPSC recruitment norms, marks of candidates who took the UPSC IES/ISS 2017 this year at various levels will be released in 15 days via an official UPSC notification related to the UPSC IES/ISS 2017 examination. The UPSC IES/ISS 2017 exam is held in three stages i.e. prelims, mains and personality test cum interview round. The rigorous process of selecting candidates via the UPSC IES/ISS 2017 exam is finally over selecting the right candidates who cracked the last round or the finale round of interview before getting an appointment letter by the UPSC for the UPSC IES/ISS 2017 exam.

Written exam result for IES/ ISS was declared a day after the declaration of civil services preliminary exam. Selected candidates were allowed to submit detailed (DAF) till 21 August 2017. UPSC is going to conduct civil services main exam in October. Last year, more than 1 lakh candidates had appeared for the prelim exams. The exact number of candidates who appeared this year is yet to be released by the commission. This year, the UPSC Civil Services exam is being held for recruitment of 980 candidates to top bureaucratic posts in the country. Last year, 1099 candidates were selected through UPSC Civil Services exam.
