UPSC CDS admit card 2017: UPSC CDS Exam (II) 2017 admit card to be released in first week of Nov at upsc.gov.in

The last date to submit the online application form for the UPSC CDS (Combined Defence Services) Examination II, 2017 has ended on September 8 at 6 pm. Now, UPSC will release the e-Admit Card to all the candidates who have successfully submitted their online form and are eligible for the exam.

CDS Exam (II) 2017 admit card: The last date to submit the online application form for the , 2017 has ended on September 8 at 6 pm. Now, UPSC will release the e-Admit Card to all the candidates who have successfully submitted their online form and are eligible for the exam. According to a notification from UPSC, the UPSC CDS Exam (II) 2017 admit card will be released three weeks before the exam. Most likely, it will be uploaded on the UPSC website in the first week of November. “The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-Admit Card three weeks before the commencement of the examination.  The e-Admit Card will be made available on the UPSC website (www.upsc.gov.in) for downloading by candidates,” said UPSC

UPSC also reiterated that no admit card would be sent via post to any candidates and all the candidates will have to download it from UPSC website. “No e-Admit Card will be sent by post.  All the applicants are required to provide valid & active e-mail i.d. while filling up online application form as the Commission may use electronic mode for contacting them,” said a notification from UPSC.

The UPSC CDS Exam (II) 2017 is scheduled to be held on November 19. This examination is being conducted for admission into course work and fulfilling the vacancies in Indian Military Academy, Dehradun, Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Air Force Academy, Hyderabad, and Officers' Training Academy, Chennai for both male and female candidates.

UPSC CDS Exam (II) 2017 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates interested in applying for IMA and Officers' Training Academy need to have a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university or equivalent. For those who want to apply for Indian Naval Academy, they must have a degree in Engineering from a recognised university/Institution. All the candidates for Air Force Academy need to possess a degree from a recognised university (with Physics and Mathematics in Class 12) or a Bachelor of Engineering.

UPSC CDS Exam (II) 2017 Age Limit

There is age limit to all the post. The male candidate should be not have born before July 2, 1994 and not later than July 1, 1999. For the Indian Air Force, the age limit is between 20 to 24 years. Also, only un-married candidates can apply for Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. As per general rule, candidate below 25 years of age must be unmarried.  Marriage is not permitted during training.  Married candidates above 25 years of age are eligible to apply but during training period they will neither be provided married accommodation nor can they live with family out of the premises.

UPSC CDS Exam (II) 2017 Examination Pattern

The examination comprises – written examination and Interview for intelligence and personality test. Only candidates who qualify in the written test would be called for interview. The subjects of the written examination, the time allowed and the maximum marks allotted to each subject will be as follows:

For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy:

The maximum marks allotted to the written examination and to the interviews will be equal for each course. It will be 300 and 200 each respectively. The papers in all the subjects will consist of objective type questions only. The question papers (Test Booklets) of General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set bilingually in Hindi as well as English.

There will be negative marking for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the Objective Type Question Papers.  For both writing and marking answers in the OMR sheet candidates must use black ball pen only. Pens with any other colour are prohibited.  Do not use Pencil or Ink pen.
