The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has released  result 2017. Now all the candidates who have appeared in OTET 2017 Exam can go to official website of the board at  – bseodisha.ac.in and indiaresults.com to check their result. Indiaresults.com is the official result partner of the board. OTET 2017 examination was held across Odisha in two shifts from 10 am to 12.30 pm for Paper I and from 2 pm to 4.30 pm for Paper II on September 25. The board released the OTET 2017 answer keys on October 7 and the last date to challenge the answer keys ended on October 15. Now, all the candidates who have appeared in the examination can check their OTET Result 2017.

Steps to check OTET Result 2017

Step 1: Go to the official website of the board – bseodisha.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the ticker on home page that says “RESULT OF ODISHA TEACHER ELIGIBILITY TEST (OTET), 2017”.

Step 3:  It will take you to the official partner of results announcement – indiaresults.com

Step 4: Enter your Roll number

Step 5: After submitting the form your OTET Result 2017 will be displayed

OTET 2017 Examination

Passing OTET examination is mandatory for teaching Class-I to VIII students in the schools of the state government, private aided schools and private unaided schools in the Odisha. Candidates who wish to seek employment as teachers in private un-aided schools also have the option of appearing in Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by central government through CBSE. The minimum qualification to be considered for OTET 2017 is class 12th passed from a recognised board or institute.

Qualifying Marks for OTET 2017

In OTET 2017, there were two papers – paper 1 and paper 2. A candidate was allowed to appear in any one paper. The paper 1 was of 150 marks and it contained question on child development and pedagogy, a regional language (Odia, Urdu, Hindi, Telugu or Bengali), English, mathematics and environmental studies. On the other hand, the paper 2 was of total 150 marks. It had questions on three compulsory subjects- child development and pedagogy, a regional language and English- and an optional subject.

As per qualifying rule of OTET 2017, a candidates will have to secure the minimum qualifying marks to clear the Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test 2017. The candidate belonging to the General category needs 60% marks and for the SC, ST, SEBC/OBC, Physically Handicapped candidates, the minimum qualifying marks is 50%.
