Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has released the OTET 2017 Answer Keys at its official website – bseodisha.ac.in.

OTET 2017 Answer Keys: Board of Secondary Education, Odisha has released the OTET 2017 Answer Keys at its official website – bseodisha.ac.in. OTET 2017  was held across Odisha in in two shifts from 10 am to 12.30 pm for Paper I and from 2 pm to 4.30 pm for Paper II on September 25. Now all the candidates who have appeared in OTET 2017 examination can check the answer keys by downloading it from website. If they find any discrepancy, they can challenge the answer keys by Rs 500 per answer from October 9, 8 am to October 15, 11.45 pm.

To challenge an Answer Key, there is a prescribed procedure laid down by board that need to be followed. Board will announce the date along with the release of Answer Keys, till when, answer keys could be challenged. As per last year guidelines, the students had to pay Rs 500 as fees to challenge an answer key. This fees can be paid online. Once a candidate files an objection, board takes it to the expert committee. The expert committee clears the objections as soon as possible and will release the Final Answer Key which will contain the final answer for the questions asked in the examination.

The paper 1 was of 150 marks and it contained question on child development and pedagogy, a regional language (Odia, Urdu, Hindi, Telugu or Bengali), English, mathematics and environmental studies. On the other hand, the paper 2 was of total 150 marks. It had questions on three compulsory subjects- child development and pedagogy, a regional language and English- and an optional subject. According to experts both the papers were of easy to moderate level and more or less followed similar pattern as last year.

OTET is mandatory for teaching Class-I o VIII students in the schools of the state government, private aided schools and private unaided schools in the Odisha. Candidates intending to seek employment as teachers in private un-aided schools also have the option of appearing at Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by central government through CBSE. The minimum qualification to be considered for OTET 2017 is class 12th from a recognised board or institute.

OTET is conducted every year by the , Odisha which is a corporate body constituted under the Odisha Secondary Act, 1953. It regulates, controls and develops Secondary Education in Odisha. It offers varied courses in order to equip students for different occupations, to prepare them for university education and to equip them for various cultural purposes.

How to check OTET 2017 Answer Keys

The OTET 2017 Answer Keys have not yet been released. However, it is likely to be released soon. Once, released it will be available on the board website for download. Candidate can follow the below steps to download OTET 2017 Answer Keys, once it is available.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the board – bseodisha.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the link ‘OTET 2017 Answer Keys‘ displayed on the homepage of the website.

Step 3:  OTET 2017 Answer Keys has been released in format.

Step 4: Search your paper code.

Step 5: Match all the entries, if you find any discrepancy, you can challenge the Answer Keys.
