BTET 2017 results scrutiny: Last date ends today, apply at bsebonline.net

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) which declared the on September 21 and BTET 2017 answer keys within days of announcement has asked candidates to apply for paper scrutiny if they are unhappy with their results. The last date to apply for paper scrutiny online is today. Since, this year, there has been huge drop in the pass percentage, it is likely that more number of candidates would apply for scrutiny compared to previous years.

BTET 2017 results scrutiny

BTET 2017 exams were conducted in July in two shifts across the state. Out of 43794 aspirants appeared for the exam, only 7,338 candidates qualified from Paper 1, while 20,113 candidates qualified from Paper 2. This year only 16.07% candidates passed paper I, which was meant to test the eligibility for appointment as Class 1 to 5 teachers and 17.84 per cent cleared paper II, meant to assess the eligibility for the appointment for class 6 to 8. Altogether 43,794 aspirants wrote paper 1 and 1.68 lakh paper II, which was held on July 23 at 348 examination centres across the state.

Steps to apply for BTET 2017 Scrutiny

Go to the homepage of the official websites – biharboard.ac.in. Click on BTET 2017 scrutiny link which is scrolling in the left side bar. It will take you to a page where you need to enter your Roll number and date of birth. Once you submit the details, a page will open showing check boxes next to the paper I and II. Click on applicable link. Make the required fees online and you are done.

It is important to mention correct email address as the OMR sheet will be sent on it. A fees of Rs 70 per paper and Rs 102 is being charges for scrutiny and OMR sheet per paper. Apart from BTET, BSEB also conduct Secondary School Examination and departmental such as Diploma in Physical Education, Certificate in Physical Education and Teachers Training Examination.
