Dhaka Posts and Minister has directed the telecom operators to resolve the complaints of users regarding call drop, deficiency of network and expiration of data.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the signing ceremony of an agreement between TKC Telecom, a Canadian-based international company, to oversee the activities of mobile operators on Monday.

The Minister directed the and mobile operators to take steps not to shorten the duration of the data package considering the interests of the customers.

At the same time, he directed to give the user the opportunity to use the surplus data after the expiration date.

Besides Secretary of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications Md. Afzal Hossain, BTRC Chairman Shyam Sundar Sikder was also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications said that another milestone has been set in the progress of establishing Digital Bangladesh through Telecom Monitoring Agreement.

The Minister said that if the TMS project is implemented, it will be a laudable and exemplary initiative in the world. It will be possible to observe all the necessary information in real-time.

“This will ensure regular and reliable access to voice and data traffic, network usage and quality information as well as BTRC's revenue.”

This will significantly improve the BTRC's policy-making system and make reporting to the government more efficient and faster.

The Minister noted that the Digital Bangladesh program has changed Bangladesh under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
