Dhaka — Nearly fifty-five percent of the population is out of telecommunication services, according to the Bangladesh Mobile Phone Subscribers Association.

The president of the association  said that on the 52nd anniversary of World Telecommunication Day, there are 3.7 billion Internet users in the world.

And on the 12th anniversary of Digital Bangladesh, there are 17 crores 46 lakh 27 thousand mobile phone subscribers in the country.

Of these, 11 crores 27 lakh 15 thousand internet users.

Here, too, half of the current population uses the Internet. 54 percent of the population is still out of telecommunication services.

Easing demand, uninterrupted, and secure security in the field of telecommunications, Mohiuddin Ahmed said the slow pace of service and high security are constantly making customers suffer.

Unbeknownst to the customer, money is looted, customer information is stolen and published in violation of the law and the constitution. Various crises are throwing consumers into extreme uncertainty.

Yet the epidemic has provided some relief in livelihoods, the country's economy, social and family communications, mobile banking services, and lockdowns.

Referring to the country's most vulnerable sector education system at present, he said, “We call upon the students to ensure free high-quality devices, uninterrupted high-speed internet service at the marginal level.”

He also expressed his gratitude to all the organizations and workers who have worked tirelessly for the provision of telecommunication services during the Corona epidemic.

He also thanked the customers who have kept the wheel of their own and the country's economy running by using telecommunication and technology services.
