Dhaka: MasterCard Bangladesh has appointed Sohail Alim as the Account Management Director. During his tenure in this position, he will establish new relationships as well as work on partnership issues with MasterCard’s priorities, such as banks and financial institutions, including Fintech (Financial Technology).
He will work under the supervision of Syed Mohammad Kamal, Country Manager, MasterCard Bangladesh. Prior to joining MasterCard, Sohail Alim served as the Head of Credit Cards of Standard Chartered Bank (SCB), one of the leading MNC banks in the country.
In his 19-year career with SCB, he has made significant contributions to the company’s retail, distribution, and client servicing sectors through his dynamic leadership and diverse experience.
He has also participated in various workshops, seminars, and conferences related to banking and this sector at home and abroad during his professional career. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree in Management Information Systems from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB).
