Dhaka: The management of the fair titled ‘Sourcing 2021-' is under ‘Export Development Bureau-', the 7-day fair will start on October 18 on a virtual platform.

Due to the epidemic, product exhibitions and international trade fairs of different countries are closed. In such a situation, online fairs are being organized to showcase products and services to foreign buyers.

In this regard, the EPB informed on Tuesday that, for the first time under the management of the Export Development Bureau, a sorting fair titled ‘Sourcing Bangladesh-2021 Virtual Edition' will be held on the virtual platform from October 18 to 24.

A press conference will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon in the conference room of EPB. The Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi will be present as the chief guest at the press conference. Detailed information about the fair will be given at the press conference.

According to EPB sources, ‘Sourcing Bangladesh 2021 Virtual Edition' will showcase their products, present audio-visual and digital brochures to the participating organizations in the 7-day virtual exhibition, as well as host virtual Bitcoin meetings and webinars.

Also, there will be a buyer-seller database on the exhibition website. The main purpose of organizing sourcing shows on the virtual platform is to find new buyers for local exporters by connecting with potential foreign buyers through live chat, audio, and video conferencing.

‘Sourcing Bangladesh 2021 Virtual Edition' will focus on the major export sectors of Bangladesh.

The participating sectors are readymade garments, leather and leather products, jute and jute products, home furnishings and hem textiles, pharmaceuticals, agricultural and agro-processed products, plastics, light engineering products, electric and electronics, information furniture, ceramics, and others.
