Bangladesh MFS bKash posts Tk 8.81 crore loss

BRAC Bank has included the bKash audit in its audit report. The audit report further found that the loss of bKash of the country's number one MFS operator by December 31, 2020, was Tk81.40 crore.

Dhaka: The country’s market giant has posted a loss of Tk 8.81 crore last year. Their loss in the previous year was Tk62.51 crore. Users in the sector have expressed surprise at such an account of an MFS which is in the first position in the country.

Meanwhile, the new service in the MFS sector is the ‘Nagad’ of the postal department. bKash has been in competition since the company came to the market.

As evidenced by this, in the last three years, bKash has increased its commercial expenditure by two and a half times.

BRAC Bank has included the bKash audit in its audit report. The audit report further found that the loss of bKash of the country’s number one MFS operator by December 31, 2020, was Tk81.40 crore.

The amount of bKash loss in 2020 is Tk18.89 crore more than in 2019. The amount of bKash loss in 2019 was Tk62.51 crore.
