Bangladesh ICT minister urges for inclusion of e-commerce in school curriculum

Dhaka — Bangladesh Minister of State for Information and Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak has urged for the inclusion of e-commerce in the curriculum of primary, secondary, and higher secondary students to gain knowledge of e-commerce.

Palak made the call at the 10th Masterclass of the Women and E-Commerce Forum (WE), a popular group of women entrepreneurs, on Saturday. The main theme of this year’s was ‘Business Sustainability, From Platio to Peak’.

The Education Minister , MP was present as the chief guest on the occasion.

Sharing his views, the Education Minister said, “We appreciate the entrepreneurial training through this master class. The Ministry of Education will work for the official recognition of such an . I also thank the IT department for being by the side of women so much. ‘

Calling on the Minister of Education to include e-commerce in the textbooks, Palak said, “If we can include the basic knowledge of e-commerce in textbooks or textbooks for 4 and a half crore students, then we can include them in the Women and e-commerce guide or curriculum for every student. That part of the Commerce Digital Lifestyle, however, will be delivered to everyone.”

In the last 12 months, it has been possible to provide various emergency services through e-commerce during the Corona period, as a result of which people have got the benefits of e-commerce at home. E-commerce has surpassed the growth of the last 12 years in 12 months, Palak said.

The master class was organized by Saumya Basu, President and CEO SILKOAK GLOBAL, Advisor Jahanur Kabir Shakib and President Nasima Akter Nisha. Nearly four hundred entrepreneurs took part in this year’s master class.
