UPSC IFS Main Exam 2017 starts on Dec 3; Here’s all the updates

Finally, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conduct UPSC IFS Main Exam 2017 from December 3, 2017.

Finally, Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is going to conduct from December 3, 2017. A notification from Commission has asked all the candidates who have qualified in the UPSC Civli Preliminary Examination to apply for the UPSC IFS Main Exam 2017 by September 20, 2017, 6 pm. The exam is likely to be held over a period of 10 days. So far, UPSC has announced the details of exam timings.

Earlier, UPSC has released a detailed application form (DAF) which is available at the Commission’s website – upsc.gov.in for the candidates. All the candidates who are interested to pursue career with Indian Forest Service can apply . As per online notification issued by the Commission, the upcoming UPSC IFS Main Exam 2017 will be held on December 3, so far the UPSC has not announced any time table. However, same is likely to be release at the time of issuing the admit card to the candidates.

UPSC IFS Main Exam 2017 will be held across the country including , , Delhi, Dispur (Guwahati), Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Port Blair and Shimla centers. There may be some changes in the centre as per availability of the students.

Every years, UPSC conducts, UPSC IFS Main Exam. Only those candidates who have successfully qualified in Civil Services Examination (Preliminary) can appear for Indian Forest Service Examination (IFS) (Main). A candidate cannot directly appear for the UPSC IFS Main Exam without clearing the Preliminary Exam.

As per reports, each of the examination session would be of 3 hours. One session will be held in the morning from 9 am to 12 noon and the second session in the afternoon from 2 pm till 5 pm. As per the notification released, the UPSC IFS (Mains) Exam 2017 will start from 3rd December’ 2017 that is Sunday and likely to be stretched for a period of 10 days that is until Wednesday, 13th December’ 2017.
