The model supports Dolby Atmos, a spatial audio technology that places sounds in three-dimensional space around the listener rather than from fixed speaker positions. It ships with dual wired subwoofers and two rear satellite speakers.

The mid-range Aavante Bar Prime B450 offers 450W output with the same 5.2-channel configuration, including dual subwoofers and rear speakers. The entry-level Thunder-D features Dolby Audio processing for standard home entertainment use.

Connectivity options

All three soundbars support HDMI eARC, a connection standard that allows the television to send high-resolution audio formats including Dolby Atmos directly to the soundbar through a single cable. This eliminates the need for separate audio connections when streaming content from built-in television apps.

The range also includes Bluetooth v5.3 for wireless audio from smartphones and , alongside USB, AUX and optical inputs for compatibility with older devices and gaming consoles.

boAt Gaurav Nayyar said the launch reflects growing consumer demand for better home audio. “Home entertainment is becoming an increasingly important part of how Indian consumers experience content, whether it is movies, sports, gaming or music,” Nayyar said.

“With the Aavante Bar Prime series, we are bringing together powerful sound, immersive technologies like Dolby Atmos and thoughtful design at an accessible price point,” he added.

The launch comes as consumers increasingly seek alternatives to built-in television speakers. The growth of streaming platforms, connected televisions and home gaming has driven demand for external audio systems that can deliver more powerful and immersive sound without the complexity of traditional multi-speaker home theatre setups.

Soundbars have emerged as a popular choice in this segment, offering a balance between audio quality and ease of installation.

The category has seen particular growth in the ₹10,000 to ₹20,000 price band, where consumers seek meaningful upgrades over television speakers without the investment required for premium audio systems.
