Troogue’s current marketplace allows enterprises to find, assess and hire technology professionals and teams. The company now plans to develop AI tools that would assist both enterprises and individual professionals throughout the hiring and capability assessment process.

Podila’s mandate

In his new role, Podila will be responsible for product vision, technology strategy and execution. He will work with the founding team as Troogue scales its enterprise platform and expands its product offerings.

“What attracted me to Troogue is the opportunity to solve a much larger problem than talent matching,” Podila said. “The marketplace gives us a strong foundation; the next opportunity is to build intelligent products and AI agents that help enterprises make better capability decisions, while enabling professionals to demonstrate and grow their value.”

Madhu Rajputra Peravalli, co-founder and CEO, Troogue, said the company needed expertise in data, AI and large-scale for its next phase.

“Enterprises no longer need more access to resumes; they need greater confidence in capability,” Peravalli said. “As Troogue evolves from a capability marketplace into a broader AI-led platform, Madhusudhan brings the depth in data, AI, enterprise technology and large-scale transformation that we need for this next phase.”

Podila’s career background

Podila is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and has over two decades of experience in the technology sector. Before Thoughtworks, he held roles at Infosys and Four Soft. His experience spans enterprise technology strategy, data and AI platforms, architecture and product-led transformation.

According to Troogue, Podila has advised senior executives across financial services, telecom, retail and digital businesses on data, AI and technology transformation programmes. Podila is based in Hyderabad.

Troogue positions itself as a platform that brings together independent technology professionals, staffing agencies and technology service organisations to meet enterprise demand. The company uses AI-based assessments to evaluate candidates and improve matching between professionals and job requirements.

The Indian technology staffing and talent platform sector has seen increased activity as enterprises seek more efficient ways to access technology expertise.

The move towards AI-assisted hiring and capability assessment indicates broader trends in the human resources technology space, where platforms are increasingly using machine learning to evaluate skills and predict job fit.
